The Good Samaritan Society launched a social accountability pilot program in 2010 to provide grants to Good Samaritan Society center projects that demonstrate social accountability by serving the greater community, whether local, statewide, national or international. Grants of up to $10,000 each are awarded for start-up or one-time projects. Each year, up to $100,000 is granted to centers for outreach efforts that demonstrate and reflect the mission of the Good Samaritan Society.
Being socially accountable is part of being community-centered, which is one of the Good Samaritan Society's Hallmark Values.
